Welcome to my courses for new authors! My name is Eva Pohler, and I'm an award-winning and USA Today bestselling author of over forty-five novels in multiple genres. I've been a writing professor for over three decades, and I'm a professional editor. In more recent years, I've taught creative writing and entrepreneurial strategies for creatives as an adjunct professor at Trinity University, where I've helped university students turn their passions into careers.
Drawing on my Ph.D. work on "Narrative Strategies," my three decades of teaching, and my fifteen years of writing, publishing, and promoting my work, I've created a series of courses to help other writers. The Science of Story Explained in Six Lessons
The second course, "Publishing Pathways: From Manuscript to Marketplace," takes the guesswork out of publishing. This course guides you through every stage of the process, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. You’ll learn the pros and cons of traditional publishing versus self-publishing, how to query agents and prepare submissions, and what contracts really mean for your career. You’ll also discover how to format your book, work with cover designers, secure ISBNs, distribute to major retailers, and build a professional author presence from day one.
