We’ve seen author interviews, but what about the readers? I love getting to know my readers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media sites but thought it would be extra fun to interview them.

Angie Babchuk is a twenty-nine-year-old reader from British Columbia. She loves all genres and prefers paperbacks, though she sometimes needs to buy hardcovers if the print is otherwise too small. In some instances, an audiobook is even better. Angie has been an avid reader since she was a litle girl and often finds herself reading instead of sleeping.
Although she has way too many favorite foods, shows, and books to name any, she was able to tell me that her favorite color is purple.
Ivan Cintron is a twenty-one-year-old from Puerto Rico who loves ebooks, especially young adult science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal fiction. In addition to reading four or five books a month, Ivan is a student who enjoys writing and playing video games. His favorite books are The Gatekeeper’s Saga, and he also enjoys watching anime, listening to rock music, and eating pasta. His favorite movie of all time is The Pirates of the Caribbean.
Ivan posts reviews of the books he reads on his blog at Mythical Bat Reviews. Check it out!
Shannon Dean is a twenty-one-year-old from San Diego who has taken a break from college to figure out what she wants to do. Meanwhile, she keeps herself busy in the fictional worlds of her favorite young adult, science fiction, fantasy, and romance novels. Preferring paperbacks to other formats, Shannon can be found reading at all hours of the day and night when she’s not playing with her blue merle miniature Australian shepherd named Reyna, who gets her name from the Percy Jackson books.
In addition to the Percy Jackson books, she loves Myths of Immortality by Raye Wager, The Prophecy of Shadows by Michelle Madow, Amber Smoke by Kristin Cast, and last but not least The Gatekeeper’s Bride.
When I asked her what kind of music she likes, she said, “I have a very eclectic musical taste it’s been very influenced by my parents growing up and they both like different genres. I like rock and pop and just about everything, the only music I don’t really like is rap and most country. Although I’m living with my Nana now and she loves country so she’s been inadvertently getting me to like it more.”
And when I asked her if there was anything else she wanted us to know, she said, “I am addicted to Dr Pepper, [and] I love singing when no one else can hear me (even though many people have said I have a nice voice).”
When asked how old she was, Cathy Gischlar said “sixty-one and a half.” That right there tells you something about this funny receptionist from Chicago. She loves to make people laugh.
A lover of mystery/suspense and paranormal ebooks, Cathy reads every day, about two to three books a month. She also loves music, shellfish, Lucifer (the television show–not the fallen archangel), and her three grandkids. She says she’s “very spiritual and pensive and love[s] to laugh and make others happy.”

She said, “Other than loving to spend time with my amazing and special family, I also enjoy hanging out with my best friends, Sumena and Paulla, as well as just finding an excuse to go to the mall with some of my other friends. I also have a pet, his name is Apollo, and he is a Morkie (yorkie-maltese mix). MY PUPPY IS SUCH A SWEETHEART. He is tiny, but always thinks he’s the big dog. I love him, and my family and friends, like crazy!”

Duggan, The Cherub Series by Robert Muchamore, The Selection Series by Kiera Cass, and The Summoner Series by Taran Matharu.
Cynthia said that she thanks her father for getting her into reading and for buying all her books. She said, “I absolutely love reading! I love how it can transport me to see a different world that can be similar or different to ours–whether it is a castle with wannabe princesses or a hotel for youth spies or a camp for demigods. I think that books are the key and have the answers for most of life’s questions, but they can also make you feel better if you’re feeling sad or make you feel sad if that’s what you want.”
Lyndall Reed is a twenty-four-year-old artist from Portland, Oregon. She creates art of all mediums and styles but prefers classic art. She also enjoys origami, researching random facts, and Pokemon Go.
Depending on what else is going on in her life, she loves to read paperbacks of all genres every day when she can. When asked about her top five favorite books, she named genres instead, because she has too many favorites: “How about genres 1. Historical fiction 2. Fantasy 3. Post apocalyptic/sci-fi 4. Ancient Mythology mixed with modern day society 5. College text books (I find them very entertaining).”
Although favorite food was another category that she couldn’t narrow down, she was able to name her favorite colors, shows, and movie: “Sunshine yellow in the spring and summer and plum for the fall and winter. Bones, The Magicians, and Teen Wolf. And Beauty and the Beast.”
When asked if there was anything else she wanted to add, Lyndall said, “That you are an awesome author and I love how interactively involved you are with your readers. There needs to be more authors like you in this world.”
